Location: Leeds

Salary: Competitive

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, 9am – 5pm

They are looking to recruit a Systems Architect based at their Leeds office. With this role you would become part of the UK’s largest provider of genuinely free independent debt advice and managed solutions.

Systems Architect Responsibilities:


  • Working with the Business Analyst, understand the charity’s processes and data and domain models in order to produce architectural solutions that are in alignment with the charity’s needs
  • Provide expertise, advice and support on technical matters and feasibility to projects during inception and requirements gathering
  • Produce and own Architecture Definition Documents ensuring solutions meet success criteria, quality metrics and are aligned with longer term strategic objectives
  • Ensure architectures and solutions defined as part of Architecture Definition Document meet agreed standards, policies and non-functional requirements
  • Work with the Architecture team to identify overlaps or conflicts with on-going changes or projects and resolve as necessary
  • Define logical and physical architectures for projects including gap analysis, migration strategy, risk analysis, mitigating actions and any changes in support/maintenance procedures as part of Architecture Definition Document

Systems Architect Requirements:


  • Broad knowledge of technologies including .NET, SQL Server, Windows operating systems, Virtualisation, Networks
  • Structured approach to research and analysis activities
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Influence and gain buy-in for ideas and solutions from all levels of stakeholders
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to stakeholders ranging from non-technical to the technically focused
  • UML, ArchiMate or similarly structure modelling technique
  • Knowledge of architectural principles and styles
  • Knowledge of architectural patterns, design patterns and anti-patterns
  • Knowledge of application design principles and object orientated design
  • Knowledge of domain and data modelling as well as database design principles
  • Knowledge of loose coupling, separation of concerns, inversion of control and how to apply
