Finance Analyst

Location: Leighton Buzzard

Salary: 40k – 50k

B/E Aerospace, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rockwell Collins Inc., is a leading manufacturer of aircraft interior products and we currently have some exciting positions based at our Leighton Buzzard facility.

Responsibilities of the Finance Analyst

To support the Galley Structures Senior Finance Analysts with specific focus on headcount and departmental reporting. Specifically this role is responsible for:

  • Producing monthly management accounts to agreed tight deadlines
  • Supporting the production of the annual budget and long term plan
  • Manage and control the headcount forecast for A350 & Legacy business.
  • Monthly reviews with directors to ensure that departmental spend & headcount forecasts are accurate and variances, risks & opportunities against these are well understood
  • Work closely with the engineering teams to ensure the engineering headcount tracker is kept up to date.
  • Work closely with the engineering  & HR teams to ensure all PO’s are approved and in forecast
  • Take ownership of engineering timesheets including tracking, chasing and reporting
  • Ensuring that process disciplines and controls are adhered to
  • Managing forecast versions within the Hyperion system
  • Managing the general ledger within JD Edwards system to ensure all costs reflected correctly in the month end results
  • Process month end accruals for open purchase orders and expense transfers
  • Providing support in producing monthly presentations
  • Providing detailed analysis wherever required
  • Any other reasonable duties

Requirements of the Finance Analyst


  • Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA)
  • Experience in month end close and delivering to tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and organisational skills with a strong eye for detail
  • Advanced Excel and business modelling skills
  • Significant background in using HFM for ongoing Forecasting and Variance Analysis


  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with JDE or another ERP system
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)Good PowerPoint skills
  • Experience of working for a US company with exposure to SOX and US GAAP

Hours of Work:

Standard Hours – 39 hours per week

Core hours Monday to Thursday, 09.00 to 16.30. Core hours Fridays, 09.00 to 12.30. Additional 7.5 flexible hours to be worked each week
