Business Development Executive

Location: London            

Salary: Circa 23K OTE, DoE

Through our market-leading insight, we inform and connect a highly engaged community of over 350,000 legal and intellectual property professionals worldwide. Our office is currently based in the heart of London’s vibrant Borough Market.

We are looking for hungry and target driven Business Development Executive for our Intellectual Property Division. You would be responsible for generating new business across a variety of our products over the phone to new clients. Using your relationship management and negotiation skills to grow your client base by approaching new clients, planning and preparing presentations and communicating our product offering.

Responsibilities of the Business Development Executive:


  • New business generation across all allocated products and territory
  • Developing new sales leads using both internal and external research resources
  • Implementation of sales plans to meet sales targets
  • Updating the group CRM to ensure all sales activity are accurately reflected a
  • Ensure client contracts are signed and orders are processed
  • Develop an understanding of the key markets we operate in

Requirements of the Business Development Executive:


  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • 1-2 years minimum of selling B2B new business deals in a telephone-based role
  • Excellent track record of sales performance
  • Target driven and self-motivated
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Solid verbal and written English communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
