Administrator (Member Communities Administrator)

Salary: up to £19,000

Location: Britannia House, Brighton

Reports to: Member Communities Marketing Manager

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent position, immediate start

Hours: 9.00-5.00 (4.30 Fri) – some out of hours may be required

The Member Communities Administrator primary accountabilities:

  • Administration support in applying Event Notifications to the website Content Management System and internal records.
  • Identified support to Local Groups as required and the liaison between the Committee and Britannia House functions.
  • Support in the provision of external events equipment for Community Groups as required
  • Administration support to the Photography and Reading Room Facebook Groups.
  • Organisation/administration of the Groups Networking Meetings
  • Updating of the Club Extranet (Volunteer Hub)
  • Receiving Groups attendance figures and ‘Keeping in Touch’ data requests.
  • Assisting in the administration of the Member Communities Dept. finance; including recording and processing for payment all Local & Interest Groups Imprest Requests, Expenses claims, Honoraria, Departmental invoices and expenses.

The ideal Member Communities Administrator will need the following Skills and Experience Required:


  • IT literate, confident with MS Office packages (Word, Outlook & Excel) plus CRM systems
  • Friendly, patient and approachable manner
  • Eye for detail and confidence with figures and data entry
  • Flexible work ethic


  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems
  • Previously worked with volunteers
  • Full driving licence
