About the Company:

Our client, Adler and Allan Limited, is a provider of specialist environmental and asset management services to a range of businesses that handle, store and utilize hazardous liquids, principally oil-based fuels. The Group’s targeted services have been developed to help its customers meet ever increasing regulatory and compliance-related obligations in particular by maintaining the integrity of their assets. A&A’s services are performed by its highly skilled and accredited workforce on a planned and reactive basis from service centres around the UK.

The Company are seeking to recruit two Operators to join their team in Doncaster. Reporting to the Operations Manager and Operations Supervisor, the postholders will be required to operate any Company vehicle for which they are suitably qualified to undertake. In addition to this, the role will require the postholders to undertake tasks including high pressure water jetting, clean-up of spills using available resource and equipment and any other duties associated with this post.

Employed on a full-time basis with the need to satisfy overtime requirements, participate in a standby/call out rota and stay away from home overnight on occasion, the key tasks and accountabilities associated with the role are as follows:

Operator Responsibilities:


  • Operating Company vehicles for which the post holder is suitably qualified to operate and ensuring all vehicle checks are undertaken prior to commencing any works. The postholders are also responsible for the security of all Company vehicles and equipment
  • Carrying out all works in accordance with health and safety requirements, including struct adherence to RAMS documentation.
  • Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to divisional operations supervision
  • Liaison with supervision/Team Leader regarding all works and recommending improvements of possible opportunities
  • Responsibility for cleaning all plant and equipment post job. The post holder will also be responsible for identifying repair work required.
  • Liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
  • Any other duties for which the post holder is qualified for and capable of undertaking

Operator Requirements:


  • Applicants will ideally be high pressure water jetting and confined space trained, possess site safety passport and previous knowledge and experience of strict adherence to RAMS documentation.
  • Possession of driving licence category B1 (Van 3.5 ton) towing licence 7.5 ton would be desirable.
  • A flexible approach to the job, knowledge and experience of similar work, good customer facing skills are a requirement.
  • Training will be given where necessary; however, the Company are looking to recruit self-motivated, professional individuals, with excellent communication and organisational skills and a willingness to undertake additional duties to be an asset to the Division and the Company.
  • Proof of the right to work in the UK will be required, and a basic criminal record check may be necessary to satisfy client requirements.
