London Brunel International College
£22,000 - £25,000, per annum
12 Months Fixed Contract subject to successful probation

The UK Colleges offer a range of Degree Programme Elements from undergraduate Level 0 (Foundation) to FHEQ Level 4, university degree studies and postgraduate Masters Preliminary programmes in a wide range of degree pathways.  The Colleges are all based on the campus of their Partner University and as such are Associate or Affiliate Colleges of their Partner University. Their students benefit from the range of facilities open to all University students.

The College Services Officer Role
The College Services Officer (CSO) is a critical member of the College team and is significantly involved in the administration of the key aspects of the student academic life cycle. The successful candidate will work across all functions of the College Services team, covering both Academic and Student Services. The role is multi-faceted and will require someone who is willing to learn and is happy working in a fast paced environment. Team work will be an essential requirement of the role, as will a high level of customer service and a can do attitude. 

The CSO will assist the Managers of Student and Academic Services in maintaining the College’s student management system and ensuring that records are compliant with College, partner University and external stakeholder expectations.  The CSO will support all policies and regulations ensuring a high standard of accuracy and completeness at all times.

The role requires a high energy, self-starter who is able to use their initiative and be an active and productive member of a cross functional team. The CSO must possess the ability and commitment to maintain the highest standards of accuracy throughout their work. 

Whilst relevant administrative experience is a requirement for this role, we are looking for candidates who are passionate about delivering a first rate service, and are eager to develop their own skills at the same time as undertaking the core functions of the CSO role.

Requirements for the College Services Officer Role

  • Degree or 2 years relevant work experience
  • Experience of working in a busy customer orientated environment, including dealing with customers face to face, on the phone and via email
  • Experience of working with and meeting the needs of different stakeholders
  • Experience handling and prioritising multiple workloads
  • Experience of working with data systems and a good understanding of maintaining electronic records
  • A strong team player who is also able to work autonomously
  • The ability to maintain information to a high standard of accuracy and completeness.
  • Have the ability to communicate with and collaborate with people from a diverse range of cultural, educational and professional backgrounds
  • Excellent verbal and written English language communication skills
  • Possess good data analysis skills
  • The ability to use Microsoft Excel to present data in various formats
  • The ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility, commitment to achieving challenging tasks and a strong team ethos
  • The ability to prioritise duties, and seek clarification and guidance from others when faced with competing responsibilities
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of equal opportunity, equity and workplace health and safety principles
  • Possess a “can do” attitude and demonstrate a commitment to self-improvement
