Childcare Assessors

Location: London

Salary: between £26,000 - £28,000 depending upon experience

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

About the Company:

As our client’s company continues to grow, they need more Childcare Assessors to help them continue their mission to provide the very best training for their learners and employers.

They are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate learner focused Childcare Assessor to join their existing team of Tutors to deliver high quality, supportive and engaging qualifications to candidates enrolled onto funded apprenticeship programmes around London

You will engage and support a caseload of up to 50 learners to achieve qualifications in a timely manner by providing meaningful teaching/learning and assessment sessions, conducting regular formal progress reviews and following the delivery guideline, with a supportive team to help you.

This role would be suitable for existing nursery managers who have a passion in making a difference or existing assessors. In house training is provided.

Childcare Assessor Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate competence through qualifications and experience across the full suite of qualifications to be delivered.
  • Manage own caseload effectively using e-portfolio to progress learners effectively from start to timely completion.
  • Respond to learner and employer queries in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring regular contact is maintained for the full duration of the learner journey and qualification.
  • Where not provided, carry out a thorough induction and robust initial assessment, establishing the correct level and qualification a learner should be taking.
  • Ensure the Individual Learning Plan is maintained and updated regularly.
  • Follow TAQA and QCF code of practice to ensure a quality learner journey is made available to all learners.
  • Follow guidance with regards to teaching and assessment practice and the completion of paperwork, ensuring relevant documentation is used. Respond to feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Whenever there is an opportunity, prioritise and use of technology to teach learners – online tools, interactive sessions, webinars, remote learning.
  • Ensure that anyone else involved in the assessment process gives their consent, especially where this may mean intrusion into areas of privacy and confidentiality.
  • Undertake any other duties as and when required.
