Administration Assistant

Location: Bradford, BD4 9RS

Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 DOE

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Mon-Fri 8.30-5.00pm with 1 hr unpaid lunch break

About the Company:

Our client comprises of more than 25 businesses divided into 6 locations. With many based around Bradford in West Yorkshire, they work closely to continue to build Textile Excellence and a common desire to deliver on this promise.

As part of a small team within the finance function this role provides the day to day functions of an accounts department.

This role requires an individual with a keen eye for detail, a conscientious approach to work and a real focus on quality and delivering excellence.

The Administration Assistant duties:


  • Processing stock and production orders and emailing signed copies to relevant customers/agents
  • Amending sales orders where necessary
  • Sending ICO’s to customers/agents
  • Processing order confirmations and emailing to relevant customers/agents
  • Filing and archiving sales orders and confirmations
  • Creating new customer accounts
  • Invoicing goods and processing documentation required e.g. Certificates of Origin, Insurance Certificates etc.
  • Liaise with accounts prior to despatch regarding credit insurance
  • Chase shipping documents e.g. bills of Lading/Airway Bills
  • Collate documents to be sent to banks for collection of payments
  • Booking couriers for shipments e.g. DHL, FedEx & TNT
  • Invoicing cut length orders and processing UPS despatch
  • Labelling cut length parcels and scanning invoices to sales

The ideal Administration Assistant will need the following:

The Administration Assistant will have strong admin skills including excellent practical knowledge of Microsoft office specifically Work, Excel and Outlook.

You will need to be proactive, conscientious, able to juggle a varied workload, strong IT skills, excellent telephone manner and positive outlook.


  • Previous experience in administration is essential
  • Proven experience in using the Microsoft office suite
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work as part of a small team
  • Organised and with a high attention to detail, the ability to multi task and work with little day to day supervision
  • Be calm under pressure
